I'm glad that you found the virtual home of Konnunkodon's Vallhunds.
Konnunkodon is Finnish word that means "a little home in a Shire".
I have always considered Vallhunds to be like hobbits: short legged,
sturdy, happy and brave. Kennel Konnunkodon is not actually a kennel
at all - we prefer call this home as we don't even own outside kennels.
Our dogs are living with us as beloved family members and our breeding
happens in small scale.
Puppies are born and raised in the middle of everyday life and naturally puppies
leave to their new homes well socialized. I have been involved with this
wonderful breed since 1995. During this time I have owned and bred several
champions but also dogs that have proven themselves to be succesful in agility,
obedience, tracking, search & rescue and herding.
My goal in breeding is a versatile Vallhund: beauty, brains and health in a same
package, not to forget diversity in gene pool. I'm not using in- or linebreeding
in my breeding programme. All dogs used in breeding are health examined and
they must be healthy. I have exported Swedish Vallhunds to three continents: Europe
Northern America and Australia and imported breeding stock from Sweden and Australia.
